During October 12-14, 2025, Executive Director of the Foreign Policy Association (APE), Natalia Stercul participated in the Forum 2000 Conference: “Providing Democracy’s Resolve and Resilience, which took place in Prague, Czech Republic.
At a time when democracies face unprecedented internal rifts, in parallel with rising authoritarianism, widespread disinformation, and the rapid pace of technological change, the conference was chiefly examined how we can reconfigure the cooperation between global democratic actors to address these challenges.

The discussions were revolved along the following thematic areas:
Reinforcing Democratic Ties in a Fractured World
Responding to 21st-Century Authoritarianism
Forum for Ukraine
Democracy and Technology
Thematic and Regional Focus

The conference was attended by more than 700 leading politicians, diplomats, writers, activists, civil society leaders, dissidents, experts, and entrepreneurs from over 100 countries around the world. Throughout more than 80 panel discussions and workshops, conference participants were explored ways to restore international democratic unity.

The Forum 2000 also featured the Explore Your Life interview series with participants.
