Focus Group Tackles Online Hate Speech Against Women in Moldova
Based on an analysis of extensive monitoring of social media platform channels and accounts and on an Analytical Report: “Combating online Hate Speech Against Women in the Republic of Moldova”, developed by , in the framework of the project were organized the focus group discussion with university students. Together with , we are polling young people’s opinions regarding the statement of this issue in Moldova.
AUDIENCE INSIGHTS:

– negative perceptions about women’s participation in politics and public administration;
– stereotypes about women in leadership.
PERCEPTION ANALYSIS:
– disinformation markers;
– emotional triggers used in hate content;
– manipulation techniques.
The structured discussion focused on uncovering the root causes of online aggression, sharing personal insights, and designing actionable safety measures to translate collective experiences into robust anti-cyberbullying strategies. During the session, young participants evaluated the efficiency of block-and-report algorithms, social media moderation frameworks across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, alongside current legislative initiatives.
